- 2 cups nuts
- 4 T unsalted butter, melted
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 2 t dry barbecue seasoning mix
Rub the nuts between your hands to remove skins. Preheat oven to 350. Spread the nuts evenly in a baking dish or jelly roll pan. Lightly drizzle the butter and oil over all. Roast for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan several times to coat the nuts evenly. Turn the nuts onto paper towels. Place barbecue seasoning in a plastic bag. Add the nuts and shake to coat them with the seasoning. Empty into a bowl, shaking the bag to remove all the seasoning.
Garlic seasoned nuts: add 3/4 t garlic powder and 2 t coarse salt to 2 c nuts.
Curried nuts: add 1 t curry powder to 2 c nuts
