Comments:
Turkey kielbasa from Healthy Choice is a nice substitution on this recipe to make it a little healthier. We enjoy it with lemon pepper broccoli, roasted potatoes, and rolls.

Additional Comments:
Casey - This was pretty good, I cut back on the sugar a little and added some red bell pepper and pineapples. It was nice.

LauraM - Do not cook for longer than the 3 hours in the crock- It burns the sugars and doesn't taste good.

Erin - Yummy. This is in our rotation, for sure, and the leftovers taste great sliced up on sandwich rolls (with more mustard for me!). Easy peasy, and even Jack likes it.

Dellaina - My family inhales this, I always have to double it. Last night, I was forced to substitute molasses and white sugar for the brown sugar (didn't realize I was out) and I think I like the taste better. Mix together 1 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup molasses. I think next time I'll try adding a can of pinto beans.

Cristin - I make this with beans, usually--I sautee the onions first so they aren't crunchy, then do the meat and sauce together on high for an hour, then add two drained cans of cannelloni or great northern beans for another hour. SO good and so simple!
