Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds of ground meat (beef or turkey) - browned and drained
- 2 oz olive oil
- 8 oz of sliced mushrooms
- 1 large onion chopped
- 4 tbsp worchestire sauce
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp garlic powder (I usually sub fresh, 2 or 3 cloves)
- 1/2 tbsp mustard seed
- 1 tbsp dried basil leaves (I usually sub fresh, 1/4 cup)
- 2 tsp celery salt
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 3 pints of mashed whole tomatoes (I am lazy and usually use diced canned)
- 2 - 12oz tomato paste
- 1/4 c molasses
- 2 c. water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp pepper
Directions:
Brown meat, drain set aside.
Heat olive oil and saute mushrooms and onion. Add worchestire, parmesan, garlic and spices. Then add tomatoes, meat, paste, molasses and water. Cook a long time! On the stove, covered for an hour or two. But I usually throw it in the crockpot on high for 3 or 4 hours, and it is delish!
Servings: Makes a lot, I usually freeze half.

Jennifer2 - I made this last night and my husband LOVED it. That is a big compliment since his dad is Italian and he has grown up eating some GREAT spaghetti sauce.
