Butter Meltaways

Ingredients:

Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, oil, and sugars.

Add egg and vanilla, mix well.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Mix well.

Gradually add flour mixture to the creamed mixture; thoroughly combine.

Chill several hours or overnight.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in flour; sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 350 for 13-15 or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks

Servings: 4 dozen
Time to Prepare: 15 minutes to prep, 4 hours to chill, 1 hour to bake
