Maple Buttermilk Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 3/8 cups water
- 2 T unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 c plus 1 T maple syrup
- 4 c bread flour
- 1/2 c dry buttermilk powder
- 1 T plus 1 t gluten
- 2 t salt
- 2 1/4 t SAF yeast or 2 3/4 bread machine yeast
Directions:
Place all ingredients in bread machine pan according to the manufacturer's instructions. Set the crust on medium and program for the basic cycle; press Start. (This recipe may be made using the delay timer.)
When baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place on a rack. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
Servings: Makes 1 2-lb loaf
