Carne Asada

Ingredients:

Directions:
Lay the flank steak in a large glass baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together the vinegar, soy sauce, 4 cloves of garlic, juice of two limes, and olive oil. Season with salt, black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, cumin and paprika.

Whisk until well blended, then pour over the steak in the dish. Turn over once to coat both sides. Cover with plastic wrap, and marinate for 1 to 8 hours.

Cut the marinated flank steak into cubes or strips (or cut the steak into strips before marinating). Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the meat is cooked through and most of the liquid has evaporated.

Comments:
I actually use the frozen Tyson pepper steak filets and think it gives it a much better flavor than the flank steak. They are usually cheaper than the flank steak too.

Additional Comments:
Anonymous - We love this recipe! I've cut down on the olive oil quite a bit, primarily because I didn't care for the extra grease in the final product. Otherwise, a sure fire winner!

Kyle - I prefer this grilled, and then sliced. YUMM!!!! Of course, in bad weather, the skillet version is yummy, too!
